On the Usefulness of the International Monetary
Fund’s Credit Facilities
Emmanuel Nyahoho
University of Québec
This author argues that the global economy is characterized
by an ongoing trade imbalance that is far from corrected by
the IMF credit facilities. Furthermore, the restrictions imposed
by the IMF are too draconian in proportion to the size of the
grants that it is able to make.
